Fertility Society of Australia

The Fertility Society of Australia would like to take this opportunity to extend their support for the ‘Australasian Oncofertility Registry’ and FUTuRE Fertility research studies.

The ‘Fertility Society of Australia’ is the peak body representing scientists, doctors, researchers, nurses, consumers and counsellors in reproductive medicine in Australia & New Zealand.

Australia and New Zealand has an outstanding record in helping men and women experiencing infertility. Some of these patients will have had cancer treatment and as a result of available fertility preservation techniques at diagnosis or following cancer treatment they will be able to conceive and give birth using pioneering fertility techniques.

The ”Australasian Oncofertility Registry’ will provide clinical guidance and direction to improve the standard of fertility preservation practice in Australia and New Zealand ensuring that all cancer patients have equitable access to these services. The registry will encourage more research in reproductive health and assist in national strategies to implement research results.

The Fertility Society of Australia is determined to ensure that fertility preservation is available for all cancer patients and we fully support the research being undertaken by the FUTuRE Fertility team.

The Fertility Society of Australia have provided $25,000 towards the study.
